Biomechanics for Polo Players

Screen Shot 2015-06-08 at 21.00.51There is such dynamic movement required to play polo.  Control the pony, hold the mallet, rotate to hit the ball, and keep on board.  It is essential that the rider is agile, supple, has full range of motion.  The rider needs to  be strong and injury free, so it is imperative that he is rehabilitated correctly after any accident or fall and is kept fully mobile all the time to avoid any injury through the sport itself.Screen Shot 2015-06-08 at 20.59.22

Emma Working on Running Techniques with Shane Benzie of Running Reborn

Screen EW 1Working with Shane Benzie last week end, from Running Reborn, on Running Techniques, looking at the active Biomechanics of running.  By logging data on movement we can see areas of weakness and we can track progress better.  Coupled with really looking and working on the Intrinsic Biomechanics we can get much better results for our clients.

Voted by the Biomechanics Education showing how Biomechanics can make a difference to peoples lives.  I have used the techniques learnt to correct the posture of many sailors, horse riders, cyclists and runners.  Plus have helped several people avoiding back surgery to overcome pain and discomfort by correcting their movement that has developed due to bad posture.

There is a video clip on the link above and a bios on the link below

Cold Water Immersion – Athletic Recovery
